Aaron Weintraub, Executive Director

Aaron joined CLICC as a Family Specialist in 2023 with over thirty years of experience in supporting families and children. Aaron has three children of his own, An adult daughter and two teenage sons. Aaron has led CLICC since 2026.

Dawn Poindexter, Director of Family Engagement

She holds a Bachelor's in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of New Haven. Her background includes developing youth programming for the City of New Haven, leading Peer-to-Peer Leadership training, and serving as a Community Research Specialist with Yale University's Justice Collaboratory. She has also worked as a Financial Management Teacher at Hamden High School, an Adjunct Professor at Post University, and currently serves on the Hamden Board of Appeals.

Joy Haenlein, Grant Consultant

Joy Haenlein began volunteering with CLICC in 2008 for founder Arthur White and has led the organization since October 2014. With Landon Osborn, she expanded CLICC from two prisons and communities to a statewide nonprofit serving parents in eight Connecticut prisons and families across the state. She values CLICC’s volunteer and mentor network, which includes students from 14 Connecticut colleges and universities studying criminal justice, social work, education, and sociology. A former journalist with degrees from Michigan State and Northwestern and nearly 30 years’ experience, Joy serves on the boards of The Connecticut Mirror and the Connecticut Foundation for Open Government. She is grateful for CLICC and the parents, caregivers, and children she has met through it.
